I was worried the opal would look too flashy, but it's actually quite subtle and elegant in person. The sterling silver band feels substantial without being heavy, and the white sapphires add just the right amount of sparkle.

The sapphire halo really makes the opal pop without looking flashy. I've worn it daily for three weeks and the sterling silver hasn't tarnished or dulled at all, even with constant hand washing.

The opal has this soft pinkish glow in daylight that I wasn't expecting from the photos, and the sapphire halo catches light without being too flashy. Wore it to work all week and it's comfortable enough that I forget I have it on.
